The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is a Huntsville favorite. This museum features a space history museum with interactive exhibits, rides that mimic gravity changes, an IMAX theater and a summer space camp. Children and adults alike love the museum that gave Huntsville the nickname “Rocket City.”
Huntsville’s Green Thumb
The Huntsville Botanical Garden is just one of the many beautiful natural areas found throughout Huntsville. Mountains, parks and hiking trails span the area, but this famous attraction is second-to-none. Featuring a lovely pond covered in water lilies, a bonsai display, dogwood trail and vegetable gardens, there is always something in bloom. Children delight in the tree houses and visits to the butterfly house. The tearoom is an excellent rest-stop with delicious food and drink and your choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Historic Huntsville
Still connected to its beginnings, this city features a living history Alabama Constitution Village. This village takes visitors back in time 200 years to the early 1800’s. Authentic architecture and tools can be found throughout the village. Friendly tour guides and actors portraying villagers provide visitors with a real live-action history lesson.
