What’s Eating Up Huntsville?

The Huntsville area is advancing quickly and new restaurant additions are no exception. With rapid growth and development throughout the community many restaurants are seeking Huntsville, Alabama as their next opportunity for expansion. 

WARNING: This blog may leave you hungry but take a look at what new restaurants are opening in Huntsville and Madison.

Huntsville

Also known as Rocket City, Huntsville is continuing to add new restaurants to satisfy the growing demand of locals.

Cheesecake Factory 

Expected to open in late 2021, the Cheesecake Factory has been a common request by Huntsville natives. Taking place in what was previously Cantina Laredo’s space in the Bridgestreet Towne Center, this restaurant will be situated next to Barnes & Noble.

Hammer Heads Daiquiri Bar 

Looking for a new brunch spot? This bar will feature unique entrees such as a waffle smothered in cajun crawfish cream sauce and topped with jumbo grilled shrimp. 

Melting Pot

We are excited to say that Melting Pot is reopening their doors in Huntsville! This interactive dining experience features fondue that will leave you wanting more. 

Turbo Coffee

Opening soon, this Florence based coffee shop features fresh brewed coffee and will be located in the Lincoln Mill campus. 

Downtown Huntsville

Downtown Huntsville is already filled with fantastic restaurants but more are coming down the pipeline. 

Cookie Fix

Neighboring Downtown, those looking to curve their sweet tooth can go to Twickenham Square starting Noevmeber 2021. Cookie Fix serves different cookie options each day so you will always be in for a treat. 

MidCity District 

New to Huntsville, this area off of University and 565 boasts trendy, new spots to check out. 

Salt Factory Pub 

Keep a lookout for this Georgia-based, upscale gastropub coming in early 2022. With many dishes featured on the Food Network, these dishes are composed of organic and local ingredients. 

South Huntsville

If the new development, Hays Farm, wasn’t enough, South Huntsville is continuing to bring popular restaurants into the area. 

Grimaldi’s Pizza 

Calling all pizza lovers, this new New York style pizza will be open by the end of 2021 in the Jones Valley Bend shopping area

PaPPo’s Pizza

Joining South Memorial Plaza PaPPo’s Pizza will cater to those looking for hearth-baked pizza with craft beer. 

Hays Farm 

Hays Farm, a new development coming to South Huntsville by Grissom High School, will be a welcoming community where trails, shops & restaurants will all be easily accessible. With this development we are seeing some popular restaurants already reserving their space to be a part of such an extraordinary community. 

Tom Brown’s Restaurant

Known for their steak and seafood in the town of Madison, Tom Brown’s restaurant will be opening a new location in Hays Farm. 

Amerigo 

Originally based in Nashville, this Italian restaurant is brought in by 4 Top Hospitality Group who also brought Char into the Huntsville area. This will be it’s first Alabama location and is expected to open in late 2021. 

Wingstop 

For those looking for a quick meal, Wingstop will also be available in this location. Any guesses on what their specialty is?

Whataburger

This famous quick service Texas burger chain, which is already open in Decatur, will be coming to South Huntsville and Madison before the end of 2021. 

Madison

Known for it’s sought after school system, Madison continues to grow rapidly causing many restaurant establishments to find their own roots. 

Biscuit Belly

With two new locations happening in both Madison and Huntsville, this casual restaurant will offer breakfast classics with a twist coming in 2022. 

Eggs Up Grill 

Found in many southern states, this new Madison location is “Almost Hatched’ and is starting construction this month. 

J Alexander’s

This upscale restaurant being built near Toyota Field in Town Madison, plans to be open in the fourth quarter of 2021.. 

SaZa

This Montgomery-based Italian restaurant has broken ground to open its second restaurant in Town Madison. Known for their dedication to “serious Italian food”, this restaurant will be a great addition to Madison.

Jon Smith Subs 

Founded in Palm Beach County this franchise is known for its Steak Bomb and plans on adding three of it’s restaurants in the Huntsville area.

Prohibition 

Keep your eye out for this bar and grill coming in Spring of 2022. With a rooftop bar and speciality cocktails this new restaurant will be a must see. 

Jonathan’s Grille 

Having already broken ground in the Clift Farm development, , this Nashville restaurant has plans to open not just one grille but two in the upcoming future.
