There are a number of different museums found in Huntsville. Whether you prefer to see some amazing art or take the kids to a place they can play, you can find plenty of great museums throughout the city. Here are a few of the best museums found in the Huntsville area.

EarlyWorks Children’s Museum – 404 Madison Street

A museum designed for children, EarlyWorks allows climbing, touching and exploring. You can enjoy the stories from the Talking Tree, explore the 46-foot keelboat, trade in the General Store or enjoy the Kidstruction Zone. There’s plenty for children to enjoy here, regardless of their age.

Huntsville Museum of Art – 300 Church Street

As one of the top places for art in the city, the Huntsville Museum of Art is the perfect place to spend a day. It’s found among the Big Spring International Park. The museum is nationally accredited and provides both a permanent collection of more than 2,500 pieces and traveling exhibitions throughout the year. The museum also hoses the largest collection of Buccellati silver animals in the world.

The Historic Huntsville Depot- 320 Church Street

If you love trains, this is the place for you. The locomotives here are quite amazing and you can even discover graffiti from the Civil War. Veterans Memorial Museum – 2060A Airport Road

A museum dedicated to the accomplishments of men and women in the American military, the Veterans Memorial Museum is a fantastic place to visit. The emphasis here is on World War I and a few other conflicts. There are more than 30 historical vehicles on display, along with other artifacts here.
