Oktoberfest is a very popular event in the Huntsville area. This year, it will be held from September 17th to September 20th at the Redstone Arsenal Activity Field. The event will include carnival rides, plenty of German fare and plenty of German beer.
The event is open to the public and will provide plenty of fun. Everybody entering the festival will need a ticket unless they are too young to walk. If you are a part of the active Military, you will receive a $2 discount on every ticket up to five members of your family. Make sure you bring your Military ID to take advantage of the discount.
Tickets will be available at the entrance for Oktoberfest. They are $12 for Thursday, $15 for Friday, $15 for Saturday and $12 for Sunday.
Terry Cavanaugh
If you enjoy great performances, you will love listening to Terry Cavanaugh perform. Each day will include a performance. The schedule is:
- Thursday – 6pm to 10pm
- Friday – 7pm to 12am
- Saturday – 6pm to 12am
- Sunday – 2pm to 6pm
They will take occasional breaks, as well.
Hours for the Festival
Oktoberfest will run for four days. On Thursday, it will be open from 5pm to 10pm. Friday; the festival will be open from 5pm to 1am. Saturday it will be open from 12pm to 1am and Sunday from 12pm to 7pm. You can come out for one day or all four days.
What’s new for This Year?
The bigger Craft Biergarten will include 5.25-ounce samples now with a brew caddy for as many samples as you want. They will also have half-liter steins and a live band on Saturday from 3pm to 6pm (JUICE). There will be a DJ the rest of the nights and plenty for new sponsor booths.
The Gina Movie Screen will be available on Saturday for College Football and the Pub Grub Food Trailer will also be new. They will even have the latest Disney and Harry Potter gear on hand including Harry Potter Steins.
