The Huntsville/Madison April Market Update

What did the Huntsville and Madison County real estate market look like this past April? Compared to last year, our market is trending up in most of the numbers. Our residential sales overall totaled 528 homes, which represents an almost 10% increase in sales compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, we experienced an increase in average and median sales price. The average days on market decreased by 3% taking us to an average of 96 days on market. We’re looking at 6.2 months of available inventory, which means we’re in a balanced market. In other words, we have an equal number of buyers looking to purchase a home and number of homes available for purchase. Buyers and sellers alike benefit from these market conditions.
