The latest numbers are in for the North Alabama real estate market and I wanted you to be the first to see them. We compared these statistics to those we saw at the end of November 2016. We’re still seeing an overall increase in sales and home values while seeing a decrease in the available inventory. Here’s what else we saw:
- 491 home sales in North Alabama, up 7% from last year.
- A 2% increase in the average sale price, which is now up to $213,000.
- A 0.5% increase in the average list price, which is now $218,000.
- An 11% decrease in the average days on market. On average, homes are only taking 66 days to sell on right now.
We are looking at just over three months of available inventory, making now a great time to get your home sold. If you’re a buyer, you need to make sure that you’re acting fast, working with a market specialist, and making strong offers to ensure you win the best homes.
If you have any questions for me about the market or if you’re interested in buying or selling a home in the near future, feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I’d be happy to help in whatever way possible.
We’re excited to be featured live on Dan & Josie this morning on WDRM 102.1 FM to share this latest market update with our listeners!
