What’s Happening in the Huntsville Real Estate Market?

Today, I’m here to share our March market report with you. March didn’t see as many ups and downs compared to last year. However, we have seen our inventory levels drop.

To put that in perspective, it’s important to understand that 6 months of inventory is considered a balanced market, where neither buyers nor sellers have the advantage. We have dropped down to 5 months of inventory, which means that we have fewer homes for sale on the market than buyers.

Our sellers are either getting asking price or close to asking price when the home is priced at the fair market value. We are also starting to see multiple offer situations for beautiful homes in great locations that are fairly priced.

So buyers, please understand that the market is shifting. Stay on top of what is active on the market, as well as new properties coming onto the market. If you see that perfect property, or if a home has 9 out of 10 on your ideal home checklist, you need to be ready to make a move.
