Hello everyone, and welcome back. I’m so glad you are here to join us. Today I wanted to share with you an overview of the 2014 market report for Huntsville/Madison County as well as update you with some figures from 2015 so you know where we are headed. 
Overall, 2014 experienced a decrease in sales for the Huntsville/Madison County area compared to 2013. However, we still remained ahead of the sales numbers from 2011 and 2012. Here at Amanda Howard Real Estate, we experienced a record-breaking year, serving 517 families in 2014.
Statewide, residential sales improved by 3.4% from the prior year, representing the 4th consecutive year of positive sales growth for Alabama’s real estate industry. We recently shared the results from the December market report, which proved that 2014 ended with a strong finish, with 401 sales in that month alone.
This brings us to our January numbers. It appears 2015 is off to a healthy start for Huntsville and Madison County, with 300 closed sales in January. Our team also had a record month, helping 42 families achieve their real estate dreams in January alone.
Inventory in Huntsville currently sits at 3,298 units, while the average days on market for 2015 is down.
