If you live in or plan to visit Huntsville, Alabama around the 4th of July then you will not want to miss their Independence Day celebration. It is the largest in the area and will draw lots of fun and the biggest fireworks display around Huntsville. It is sure to be a treat for attendees.
When
This special fireworks show and celebration takes place every year on July 4 to celebrate Independence Day. For 2013 it will be on July 4 as usual and will be open from 6:00 PM until approximately 10:00 PM after the fireworks show ends. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM.
What to Expect
Although the main visitors center will be closed during the Fourth of July Celebration at the US Space and Rocket Center there will be plenty of other things to do. There will be entertainment and activities at Rocket Park will be open like G-Force and Kid Cosmos for no extra charge. Kids are sure to enjoy themselves and you will too.
If you’re hungry then there will be food available for sale. It will include burgers, hot dogs, watermelon, cotton candy, chips, popcorn, and beverages among others. No outside food is allowed.
Where It’s At
The largest 4th of July celebration in Huntsville is located at the US Space and Rocket Center at One Tranquility base off of Exit 15 for Madison Pike. Signs will lead you directly towards the center. The event costs $20 per vehicle for parking and for which parking reservations will need to be made in advance. This can be done by dropping by the visitors center and simply picking up a pass.
