You have numerous places to call home when you choose to live in Huntsville. One thing you’ll know for sure about the area is that it is rich in culture, and provides abundant amenities.
Blossomwood is in the downtown area of Huntsville. It is to the southwest of the historic district, which means it is in close proximity to the numerous historically charming areas of the city. If you want to buy a historic home, you’ll find one here. There are still plenty of modern options to choose from, though.
What You’ll Experience in Blossomwood
There are many amenities available in this neighborhood. What’s nice is that it is still very much a residential area even though it may seem like a downtown district. It’s possible to spend your time walking down tree-lined streets and chatting with the neighbors while you do so. The summers are filled with kids outdoors playing, with ample time spent at the area’s playgrounds. If you want to live in a community that is much like the one that you grew up in yourself, this is a charmingly nostalgic option.
Nevertheless, there is plenty more to attract families to the area. It has a strong school system. It is only about 20 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to Research Park. You’ll likely be within a short walk or drive to Big Spring Park, too. During the summer, the area offers concerts and there are always events being held here as well. There’s a moderately sized restaurant selection here, along with a modern selection of trendy shops downtown.
What’s more, you will find a wide range of home types here. Choose from beautiful homes from the 1960’s, or a loft over the top of small shops. Being so close to everything does mean the homes here are a bit more pricey, but you are paying for the residential climate, the beautiful setting, and of course, the various amenities.
