Amanda Howard, 2016 Board President for Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers was interviewed on WAFF-48 News at 4:00 tonight by Mark Thornhill to discuss the immediate need for goods and service donations to be auctioned at the upcoming Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers 15th Annual “Charity Auction”. This is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year. All donations are tax-deductible and will be sold to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to support the Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers Program.

- Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers (HACS) was incorporated in 1984 and is a 501(c)(3) organization
- Thru December 2015, they were able to close 1,047 cases by making 192 arrests and recover $507,635.00 in stolen property and narcotics
- For every $1 spent on rewards, $18 in stolen property and narcotics is recovered
- In 2015 they paid out $33,010.00 in rewards
- Donations are tax-deductible
