Client Driven, Client Focused
Amanda Howard is the Founder and CEO of Amanda Howard Sotheby’s International Realty (AHSIR). The firm was established in 2009 as Amanda Howard Real Estate™, and joined with Sotheby’s International Realty in 2018 after being recognized and accepted as the premier real estate firm in North Alabama by the internationally respected Sotheby’s Auction House in London, and the U.S. corporate headquarters of Sotheby’s International Realty. AHSIR serves real estate markets in North Alabama, including Greater Huntsville/Madison County and Lake Guntersville, Central Alabama, including Birmingham, the Shoals area of Alabama, including Florence and Muscle Shoals, and Southern Middle Tennessee.
Amanda and her team have sold more than 5,000 homes in the last 12 years, equaling almost a billion in sales, and has ranked in the top 1 percent of real estate teams in the nation for transactions and dollar volume. Also, she was featured as one of HousingWire’s Women of Influence. Amanda’s firm ranked in the top 1% in the nation by REAL Trends as published in the Wall Street Journal in 2019, ranked #1 real estate team in Alabama for America’s Best Real Estate Agents by Real Trends 2013-2019, and has ranked in the Inc. 5000.
While leading her team of real estate experts, she also joined the ranks of a top coaching firm, as ‘CEO Coach’ to share advice and coaching to other real estate teams and firms across the country. Amanda enjoys sharing and inspiring other real estate entrepreneurs and helped many teams grow in size and dollar volume. She has seen her protegees grow as much as 600 percent in sales, and reach top level accolades in their states. As a successful female entrepreneur, Amanda has often been asked to speak about her strategies and her path to achievement and enjoys sharing her stories with audiences small and large.
AHSIR represents the region's finest properties with extraordinary skill, using the most innovative technologies currently available. “We offer our clients the ultimate amount of privacy, security, speed, and efficiency,” she said. “We clearly understand the mindset of home buyers and sellers and have a thorough knowledge of the regional marketplace, which is what allows us to connect exceptional homes to exceptional lives.”
At the close of 2016, Amanda partnered to launch Acquire Commercial Real Estate, and in total has invested in three additional startup companies that complement her real estate services.
The brokerage is also deeply invested in giving back to its community through the support of more than a dozen local charities and initiatives. Some of the organizations Amanda is involved with include the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, HEALS, Inc, Kids 2 Love, Crime Stoppers, Huntsville Museum of Art and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra.
She also serves on the Board of Directors to help draft the State agenda for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Huntsville Committee of 100, Leadership Greater Huntsville alumni, Alabama Center for Real Estate board member, BBVA advisory council, Downtown Huntsville Inc., Huntsville Regional Economic Growth sponsor, Women’s Economic Development Council, and serves on the Mayor of Huntsville’s personal Urban Development Council.
Personally, Amanda along with her husband Travis, love to travel, Crossfit, live a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy the art of business. They have been married 25 years and have created two beautiful young ladies ages 16 and 17. Amanda's two scariest moments in her life were nearly being swallowed by a whale and teaching a 15-year-old how to drive (not in order of scariest).
